Vail Mountain to Open for the 2019-2020 Winter Season on Friday with Reimagined Opening Terrain Experience
On the heels of the largest snowmaking expansion project in Vail Mountain’s history and in North America, Vail is set to open on Friday, Nov. 15 with a reimagined opening day terrain experience, offering skiers and riders approximately 70 acres of terrain accessed via Gondola One in Vail Village starting at 9 a.m.

Modest Mouse and The Head and The Heart will headline Vail Snow Days, in two nights of free concerts. Modest Mouse will perform on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 and The Head and The Heart headlining on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. Vail Snow Days is the signature kick-off festival to the winter season Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019.

Capital Improvements Underway at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte, Leading to Earlier Openings, Longer Season, and Enhanced Guest Experience for the 2019-2020 Winter Season

Spring Back to Vail Returns for Four Days of Music and Celebration
While winter continues in full force in Vail, springtime is on the horizon. With sunny bluebird skies, warmer temperatures and still plenty of snow to be had, it’s no surprise that spring skiing in Vail is a highlight of the season. This April 11-14, Spring Back to Vail returns to celebrate the end of season with a four-day festival of concerts, on-mountain events, après parties and more.

Vail Resorts Announces Mountain Division Leadership Changes
Vail Resorts today announced a number of leadership changes to take place in its mountain division this spring. Doug Lovell, vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain will retire from his position effective May 1, 2019. Beth Howard, vice president and chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort, will succeed Lovell, while Nadia Guerriero, vice president and general manager of Northstar California Resort, will be promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver Creek Resort to succeed Howard. These changes will also occur on May 1, 2019, and the search for Guerriero’s replacement at Northstar will begin immediately.

Vail Resorts Commits to $175 Million to $180 Million in Capital Investments to Reimagine the Guest Experience for the 2019-20 Season
Vail Resorts today announced that the Company plans to invest approximately $175 million to $180 million in the guest experience in time for the 2019-20 winter ski and snowboard season across its network of 18 resorts. This latest investment is in addition to approximately $150 million invested for this season, bringing the Company’s industry-leading resort investment total to more than $1.2 billion over the last decade.
